RETAIL BUYER
MAGNET MART - Canberra based, award winning market leader in Hardware, Building Supplies and Home Improvements requires an experienced Buyer to join their dynamic Canberra based buying team.
OUR COMPANY: Operating six large retail and trade outlets throughout the ACT and Southern NSW and employing over 300 team members, MAGNET MART is a Corporate styled Hardware, Building Supplies, and Home improvement Company who value both their award winning retail / trade team and strong customer base.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY: You will be accountable for buying and developing of a range of products that compliment Magnet Mart's overall buying strategy.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT:
- Demonstrates communication and negotiation skills,
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of category and margin management,
- Is a demonstrated self starter with time management and organisational skills,
- Demonstrates a good working knowledge of Hardware / Home improvements (or similar),
- Demonstrates good computer skills. Microsoft word, Excel.
