MARKETING MANAGER

MAGNET MART - Canberra based, award winning market leader in Hardware, Building Supplies and Home Improvements requires an experienced Buyer to join their dynamic Canberra based buying team.

OUR COMPANY: Operating five large retail and trade outlets throughout the ACT and Southern NSW and employing over 300 team members, MAGNET MART is a Corporate styled Hardware, Building Supplies, and Home improvement Company who value both their award winning retail / trade team and strong customer base.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITY: You will be accountable for the creative development and implementation of strategic and tactical marketing campaigns to drive revenue growth, profitability and brand awareness.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT:

  • Will create and execute the marketing plan within specified budgets, and in line with brand positioning and customer expectations,
  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, planning and execution skills,
  • Demonstrate initiative, drive, creative flair and a commitment to the brand and the company,
  • Has an ability to balance key stakeholder expectations,
  • Is a ‘hands on’ and organized self starter who can meet deadlines and juggle multiple priorities,
  • Is a strong team player with demonstrated collaboration and negotiation skills,
  • Well developed coaching, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage and mentor a small design team.

The successful candidate will ideally be tertiary qualified, with a minimum of two years experience in retail marketing. This role may suit an assistant Marketing Manager who would like to take the next step in their career, and is keen to experience learning and development opportunities.

Casual Paint Salesperson – Weekend Shifts

Phillip Magnet Mart Store has a casual position available in their busy Paint Department. Reporting to the Store Manager you will be responsible for providing great customer service and advice for our weekend customers.

To be suitable for the position you will have;

  • Experience in paint sales, colour matching and mixing,
  • Excellent customer service skills,
  • Available for weekend shifts – 8am to 5pm Saturdays and 9am to 5pm Sundays,
  • Great communication and teamwork skills.
