What can you expect to find in the new Magnet Mart Home Warehouse? Let’s take a virtual tour with Managing Director, Chris Donaghue as the Magnet Mart team prepare to open the new store.

First, some quick statistics:
Overall, the store will be 135 metres long by 68 metres deep, total area is 9,200 square metres;
The Great Outdoors Garden Centre within the store will be 3,200 square metres, part of which will be a nursery covered by shade sails;

The Builder’s Yard timber centre will be 2,500 square metres of undercover, drive-through timber and building materials, complete with a specialised Trade Desk and Tool Hire Shop.

The central part of the store covers 3,500 square metres and includes tools, hardware, electrical, plumbing, paint and housewares sections.

In total, the store will bring over 40,000 individual products to Shellharbour in one of the largest retail stores in the area. And if you can’t find what you need, simply ask for a Special Order and our friendly staff will arrange for the product to be delivered direct from the supplier.

The Great Outdoors Garden Centre
“Most people have an interest in gardening, even if it is simply growing a few pot plants,” said Chris Donaghue, Managing Director. “In the new Shellharbour store, the garden centre will have a great range of plants plus all the necessities of establishing or maintaining a garden and outdoor lifestyle,” he said.

“You don’t need to be a gardening expert to make the right choice, at Magnet Mart we ensure our staff are trained to listen to the customer’s needs and provide quality advice on all our products,” said Mr Donaghue.

The Builders Yard
“Whether you’re a professional builder or a weekend handyperson, Magnet Mart’s Builders Yard is the place where you can get all your timber and building materials for your next project,” Mr Donaghue said. “From house lots to some timber shelving, it’s all available off the rack or we can organise delivery to the site,” he said.

Magnet Mart will also have timber and sheet-cutting facilities available in the Builders Yard operated by trained staff so you can bring in a cutting list and take away the materials already cut to size.

“We will stock pavers and other landscaping supplies in the Builders Yard as well,” said Mr Donaghue. “The convenience of an undercover yard where you can drive in, choose your product and load up will be of benefit to the busy professional and DIY person alike,” he said.

Main Store
“Our research has shown that there is one thing most customers want from a hardware store above all else and that is ‘service’,” Mr Donaghue said. “Magnet Mart’s focus on customer service starts with the way we plan the store around the customer’s need to find what they want,” he said.

“Our Shellharbour store is based on a successful layout unique to Magnet Mart that makes it easy to see where things are as soon as you walk through the front entrance,” Mr Donaghue said. “If you have a question or cannot find what you want, our staff will be on hand to assist,” he said.

The Magnet Mart Home Warehouse at Shellharbour will stock all the hardware, paint, electrical and plumbing items that you would expect to find at a quality hardware store. In addition, you can find an innovative array of household goods, furniture and storage products plus all the best in home décor to make your home look great.
